SportsEngine is adding an Accountant to our growing Finance Team in Minneapolis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting of SportsEngine's background screening product, acquired companies and applications, and overall support of the month–end close process. Join us. Accountant Responsibilities: Manage daily accounting and reconciliation review for SportsEngine's background screening product. Manage daily accounting and reconciliation review for SportsEngine's acquired applications, not limited to SAAS license fees, payment facilitation, advertising, etc. Preparation and review of monthly expense accruals. Preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations. Preparation and review of journal entries throughout month and during the financial close process. Assist in cash management for multiple SportsEngine bank accounts. Analysis and Other: Monthly analysis of actual results vs forecast. Variance analysis research and support. Ad–hoc analysis as requested. Assist with fraud assessments and tracking Assist in the design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures. Includes process improvement initiatives and working with other departments on improvements. Integrate and enhance financial processes of acquired companies and applications. Perform technical accounting research/analysis on various topics as requested. Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality around sensitive information. CPA certification preferred but not required. 3+ years of accounting experience. Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Intermediate Excel skills Experience with SAP accounting software is preferred but not required. Proven ability to successfully communicate with senior executives. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
