Business Analyst role – Must have Annuity experience
Job Description: Responsible for participating in ongoing Annuities development projects including testing of new Annuities admin system feeds; enhancements to Annuities Inforce Data Warehouse for Valuation Targeted Improvements; and design, development of a new annuities inforce data validation process. Description:• Responsible for creating functional specification document (FSD), the requirements traceability matrix (RTM) and the creation of artifacts as necessary. • Works with functional project team members and engages business customers and technical systems analysts in the Requirements and Development phases of initiatives. • Responsible for consistent on–time delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with agreed upon plans.• Establishing and directing information delivery including analytic specification, analytic design, and analytic development. Requirements: • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and documentation skills. • Must be able to work on new projects with minimal guidance. • Must be able to function independently or as part of a team. • Must possess the ability to work in a dynamic, fast–paced environment. • Experience with Annuities and working with Actuaries is helpful, but not required.• The understanding of SQL concepts with some query writing experience is a plus. The Business Analyst will work with systems and business personnel to develop business specifications based off business needs. The business analyst may also develop test plans and test decks. Daily Tasks: Responsible for developing business specifications (e.g., calculations, inputs, outputs); interacting with Business and Systems personnel to support the areas business needs; researching and responding to questions from key partners; researching product, calculation and rules issues that need to be supported in the system; participating in the testing of various systems to ensure accuracy of numbers and disclosure, including the reporting, analysis, and de–bugging of errors; and coordinating the appropriate review and approval of some specifications. May also develop test plans and test decks.
