By whether you are researching and analyzing accounts, managing the general ledger or preparing financial reports and statements, this role provides a window into the profitability of the business.

  • Preparing monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
  • Analyzing balance sheet and P&L accounts monthly.
  • Researching and reconciling all discrepancies.
  • Following internal controls.
  • Mentoring staff accountants.
  • Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis.
  • Miscellaneous accounting duties as required.
  • Answering financial questions by researching and interpreting P&L variances.
  • Compiling account analysis and supporting documentation for the year–end audit.
  • Accounting degree.
  • 3–4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • MBA or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other computer applications.
  • Accuracy in daily work and other projects.
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of Manager of Financial Reporting.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors.
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Capacity and desire to mentor others.
