Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Business Data Analyst who lives and breathes the product details and customer's requirements. You can have insightful conversations with business owners (product managers), Product Owners, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and technical architects. You have an analytical mind and the interpersonal skills to elicit the needs from what a customer wants. You have worked in agile teams, working closely with the various roles needed to define a successful product. You are an enthusiastic and self–starter who will work with the Service Owner to refine and execute a product backlog.


  • Working closely with the Service Owner, Product Council and the multi–disciplined squad to deliver the product.
  • You will be maintaining, grooming and prioritizing a backlog of product features with and on behalf of the Product Owner.
  • You will be working with squad including Engineers and Data Scientists in an agile manner.
  • You will Interact with the members of the Product Council to identify, capture and analyse business requirements.
  • You will perform data analysis including data mapping, report analysis, and help define data interfaces.
  • You will be working as part of the new Secure Data Services squad.
  • Actively participate in the creation of technical requirements; at times, owning the publication of those requirements
  • Developing use cases to explain/ demonstrate specifications to business partners
  • Support ad hoc report and/or ad hoc strategic efforts/projects
  • Support weekly, monthly and quarterly routines
  • Partnering closely with technology team to elicit and document the functional requirements, generating process/data flow diagrams, and crafting user guides
  • Desired Experience

  • 8+ years process design and/or technology development
  • Significant experience working in agile teams delivering great products.
  • Extensive experience as a business analyst.
  • Requirements management (Stories and Scenarios).
  • Detailed analytical abilities.
  • Big Data experience
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Models
  • Written and verbal communication, preferably with technical writing skills.
  • Understanding of Data science practices
  • Facilitation and Elicitation Skills
  • Strong business partnering experience / skills including the ability to interact, communicate and influence equally well at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to deliver high quality work in a dynamic environment with overlapping deadlines and tight time constraints
  • Ability to effectively juggle multiple high priority activities and deliver in a fast–paced environment
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio); ability to quickly learn how to use new tools
  • Proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Motivated self–starter who can deliver results with minimal direction
  • Highly organized and motivated to deliver results with minimal direction
  • Creative and proactive problem solver – ability to understand what the team needs and offer suggestions above and beyond what they desire
  • Naturally curious individual with the ability to quickly become the authority in the various procedures, data and systems used by the team
  • Experience writing user stories for Agile development (user story and acceptance criteria)
  • Knowledge of software acceptance testing including regression testing
  • Experience with end–to–end Change Management and Delivery
  • Working knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • prior software development/coding experience a plus
  • Information Security, Auditing, or Control Function background is desired, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (Not Required but you can list as desired or helpful. Also, equivalent/related work experience)
