Position Description ? Senior Accountant ? Performance Reporting
The Senior Accountant?s primary responsibility is to assist in the preparation of performance reports for the company?s operations in the Americas region, which include the statutorily consolidated entities of the company.? Additionally, this position will become involved in reporting of monthly activity related to subsidiaries and associates of the company and reporting on their performance compared to prior year and budget expectations.
Responsibilities include:
Performance Reporting:
  • Prepare operational reports related to the actual performance of the company operations including KPI such as income, EBITDA, Assets and ROA
  • Assist in coordination of the budget aggregation reporting for the company?s entities
  • Monitor and report on actual corporate costs relative to budgeted amounts for each of the company?s administrative department.
Consolidation Accounting:
  • Assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the company including posting investment account and other intercompany elimination entries, posting of topside adjustments as necessary, and reconciling and adjusting the changes in the shareholder?s equity and non–controlling interest accounts.
  • Become knowledgeable of the company?s data collection and reporting system currently being implemented and the consolidation processes, identify streamlining and improvement opportunities to the reporting processes and serve as a supporting function to the statutory consolidation process
  • Assist in the submission of the consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules to the company.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting Required; CPA a plus
  • 5 years of Audit/Accounting Experience; preferably public accounting experience
  • Sound knowledge and application of enterprise resource planning and consolidation systems and methodologies
  • Ability to analyze financial statement account activity and clearly articulate the causes of variances verbally and in written documentation.
  • Excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and other team members
  • Ability to multi–task in a fast–paced accounting environment, work independently and be self–motivated in addressing the tasks at hand.
