Robert Half Finance & Accounting is looking for a Bookkeeper for a full–time opportunity with a local CPA Firm. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). – Assisting with bookkeeping and reception
– Maintaining organized files of payment records, archive as needed
– Receiving and entering manual checks in system
– Data entry
– Updating customer contact information and making accurate changes as needed
– Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
– Update and maintain the general ledger
– Reconcile entries into accounting system
– Record debits and credits
– Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
– Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
– Monitor any variances from the projected budget

This person will also have Reception responsibilities such as greeting clients, answering the phone and redirecting the caller to the appropriate person.
To succeed in this role, this person must:
– Have 3–4 yrs of experience in G/L, P/R, and other general bookkeeping knowledge
– Have knowledge of GAAP or another accounting framework
– Have data entry skills
– Have high attention to detail
– Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
– Produce work with a high level of accuracy
– Have professionalism and organization skills
– Have knowledge of Quickbooks and Accounting CS
– Have customer service and phone skills
– Manage Front Desk Reception
– Must be detail oriented, accurate and organized
– Ability to work independently and responsibly under pressure to meet tight deadlines
– Ability to work in a high volume, fast–paced environment
– Must have a willingness to learn different functions within the role
– Excellent written and verbal communication
– Fundamental knowledge of general accounting principles and practices are preferred
