Accountemps is looking for a Senior Accountant for a great short–term temporary opportunity. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. – Arrange monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

– Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

– Be a part of various department–wide initiatives

– Other projects as necessary

– Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

– Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

– Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

– Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

– Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
– Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

– Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

– The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting systems

– ERP system experience

– Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

– Ability to meet deadlines

– 5+ years of overall general accounting experience

– Strong time management and organizational skills

– Bank Account Reconciliation experience desired

– A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

– Proven analytical skills – defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

– Self–driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

– Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
