Job Description

The purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery and support of Allstate Business Operations – Call Center Technologies and to provide technical oversight and direction through the Scrum process. Call Center Technologies supports 15+ applications both vendor provided and proprietary that support workforce management, call support, and policy/customer overviews. This role will work closely with the Product Manager, Business Product Owners, and Developers to define requirements, prioritize, and evaluate the work generated in order to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product. Oversight of any implementation issues and resolving design issues will be key function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uses sound decision making capabilities including problem solving approaches, decision frameworks; ability to support routine to complex analysis
  • Has strong aptitude to understand Allstate systems and data
  • Providing direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
  • Participate in the planning and prioritization of product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends


Job Qualifications

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Previous working experience as Business Analyst or Product Owner for 3+ years
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
  • In–depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem–solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to details


Computer Proficiency:

  • At least 5 years of Agile (one or more of these) JIRA, Confluence;
  • At least 5 years supporting full lifecycle delivery of complex systems, including requirements, design, build, test, and deployment;
  • At least 5 years implementing standards for system design and development processes, methods, and tools;
