Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. Specifically as part of our commitment to assist our clients to raise capital, our Oceania TAS Capital Markets Quality Leader advises and works alongside our TAS engagement teams and with our assurance teams to help structure, support and deliver IPO and capital markets engagements to comply with current regulations and guidance.

About the opportunity

As the Oceania TAS Capital Markets Quality Leader, you will work closely with the TAS IPO leader and AFS Responsible Manager to advise and support the service line to deliver consistent and appropriate services from this regulated part of the business.

Your role will involve significant interactions with senior partners within TAS and Assurance and you will be responsible for the day to day operation of capital markets work within TAS.

In your role, you will support the TAS AFS Responsible Manager on areas such as -
  • Advise TAS partners on the day to day structure of services and team organisation in delivering capital markets work
  • Advise TAS leadership on changes in capital markets regulation and implications including provision of recommendations and potential improvement plans
  • Maintain the Capital Markets policy and enablers in conjunction with the Assurance capital markets team
  • Review contract documentation for capital market engagements and liaise with lawyers on matters of principle, in conjunction with our general council's team
  • Work with regulators on specific deal matters and provide comments on new regulatory exposure drafts issued
  • Work with our service line leaders to maintain a list of accredited partners who may carry out capital markets work
  • Provide training to the Firm on matters related to capital markets, as necessary
  • Review public documents and advise engagement teams on content requirements
About you
To be considered for this key role, you will have qualifications in Business/Commerce or Finance and recent experience in capital markets work within a large professional services environment. Along with solid business acumen, you have strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders. You will be able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to enable you to manage risk whilst being commercial in terms of our client's needs.
