Senior Staff Nurse RMN/RNLD

My client support adults living with a learning disability or autism with complex needs across 23 specialist health and social care settings in the UK. They work in partnership with the people who use their services and their families to ensure they have increasing choice and their voice is heard and acted upon at all levels of the organisation.

As a Senior Staff Nurse you will be a key player in the multidisciplinary team with an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with brain injury, their families and carers.

You will be responsible for and lead on the following:

• Medication Management
• Staff Development
• Clinical Supervision
• Appraisal and Performance Management
• Managing Positive Behaviour and Culture (ABC) within the service Coordinate for individual service users through MDT and CPA processes
• Contribute to the admissions and discharge planning processes
• External and internal communications

You should be RNLD, RMN or RNMH qualified and have a full understanding of The Modernising Learning Disability Nurse Agenda.

Location Information

The hospital provides assessment and treatment for up to 28 men and women with autism including Asperger syndrome, who are also living with a learning disability and complex needs. The service can also support people who may be detained under the Mental Health Act and those who present with behaviours perceived as challenging or with difficulties with social engagement.
