Management Accountant

A Qualified Management Accountant is required by a Glasgow-based manufacturing business

This hugely successful business has been going through a period of growth in recent years and due to their international expansion, they now require the services of a commercially astute Management Accountant. Their reputation in the market is first class and they continually focus on delivering products of exceptional quality from their various manufacturing sites in the UK.

The Role

You will become a key part of this successful organisation and you will contribute to the decision-making process on a daily basis. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will ensure that all commercial decisions are well planned out and all financial implications are discussed thoroughly with all relevant stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to a small team and delegate tasks as required
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack with associated commercial commentary
  • Preparation, analysis and submission of VAT return
  • You will manage the budget and forecasting process
  • Full control of month end processes
  • Deliver Cashflow reports to Senior Management
  • Prepare cost analysis reports
  • Continually review and improve on financial processes

On Offer

This role is based in the East End of Glasgow and comes with a salary of £32-42k, depending on experience and level of qualification.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • Ideally, you will have a recognised Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • QBE or Finalist applicants will be considered
  • Experience in a growing SME would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills will be required, with a demonstrable ability to influence decisions and discuss complex financial matters
  • Advanced Excel skills would be beneficial but as a minimum you will be comfortable with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
