Introduction
You will be responsible to provide support in undertaking financial planning, analysis, and systems review for University wide projects.
Responsibilities
Specifically you will be responsible to:
•Provide support in undertaking special assignments related to financial functions on University Wide activities/projects.
•Undertake financial evaluation of projects/programmes. Progress for training and development plan for finance division.
•Provide support in undertaking Economic Impact Study of University in various geographies.
•Assess the financial and operational viability of ideas and provide support in developing concept notes/proposals for new funding opportunities.
•Develop Business Plan for new income generating activities.
•Provide support to University wide planning and budgeting in updating the budget manual.
•Improve the presentation and styling of financial newsletters.
•Address urgent matters while working with various stakeholders including external consultants.
•Undertake review of University Wide finance practices with a view to standardize it.
Requirements
•Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
•Associate Chartered Certified Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant/Chartered Accountant.
•2-3 years working experience in accounting/finance function.
• Therefore ACCA Affiliates and New Members are eligible to apply
•Experience in financial/transaction advisory with Big four accounting firms will be an added advantage.
•Should have sound knowledge of overall financial systems.
•Solid interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
•Ability to deal with people at all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner with strong customer focus.
•Excellent analytical skills; able to communicate relevant trends and findings clearly and concisely, knowing when to escalate.
•Technological savvy i.e. should have a strong knowledge of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
•Ability to work with minimal supervision and to resolve issues independently.
