Make a real difference at NEXT, leading all online eSourcing negotiations across the entire business and delivering bottom line savings.

The Team: -

You’ll be part of a ‘Goods-Not-For-Resale’ department that sits within Finance. This team is directly responsible for procuring and managing a wide range of products and services within eCommerce, Retail, IT Purchasing, Brand Packaging and Warehousing to name a few.

You will be the lead on all eSourcing negotiations across not only the immediate team, but the entire business to deliver best value and drive savings.

You’ll need to be confident to challenge and influence business owners (up to Director Level) that are underutilising eSourcing. It is also important that you have a head for figures to identify areas of opportunity from the analysis of supplier and category spend to the reviewing of pre-auction pricing to suggest the most effective eAuction strategy.

About the Role:-

eSourcing Event Management

  • Lead all eSourcing negotiations
  • Gain necessary project information from business owners and recommend suitable event type e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ & eAuction.
  • Design, Build and project manage multiple events across multiple categories
  • Host eAuctions - manage event rules and real-time messaging to suppliers with internal business owners present
  • Provide high quality reports and analysis to evaluate bids and facilitate decision making
  • If required, support business owners with on-boarding of successful supplier(s)

Spend Analysis

  • Proactively identify suppliers and/or categories for potential negotiation opportunities through company-wide spend analysis
  • Present opportunities to relevant business owners
  • Agree the strategy and execute using above eSourcing process

Criteria

About You: -

  • An understanding of the end-end procurement cycle and sourcing principles
  • Friendly and socially confident with strong stakeholder management
  • Comfortable presenting to a range of audiences, tailoring tools, approach and content
  • Inquisitive with the desire to seek out further sourcing and system knowledge
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills
  • Good time management skills with the ability to independently manage and prioritise multiple projects and associated deadlines
  • Experience using eSourcing technology would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Ideally work experience in purchasing, sourcing, operations, supply chain or similar

The Hiring Process: -

Following CV screening you will be informed if you have been success at this stage via email, so please keep any eye on your inbox.

If you are successful you will be invited to attend a telephone interview to talk through your CV, lasting approximately 15 minutes. Then there will be a second stage interview taking place at our Head office in Enderby, Leicestershire, which will involve a presentation and competency based questions, lasting approximately 1 hour.
