A top tier Technology Trading firm based in the heart of the City is seeking a Graduate Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting role which offers full study support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Accounting team as well as
the trading and operational teams to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful results.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Verify and match invoices against purchase orders in the purchasing system *Perform complex allocations and prepare ad hoc reports *Process non-purchase order invoices in the purchasing system *Process operational and brokerage invoices *Utilize the travel & expense system (Concur) to process expense reports *Coordinate with the Purchasing team to resolve billing issues *Assist in 5-day payables and accrual close process *Prepare wire transfer payments and update cash management system *Prepare multi-currency bank reconciliations *Create new supplier records in the internal accounting system *Organize and file documents electronically
The successful candidate is likely to have:
*Degree educated and Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA is preferred *Previous Accounts Payable experience is highly preferred *Experience working in a Proprietary Trading or Broker environment is desirable *Prior experience working with MS Dynamics Great Plains strongly preferred *Previous experience creating journal entries is a plus *Proven ability to handle deadlines in a constantly evolving environment *Microsoft Office experience (including Excel)
