Our client is an international asset management company with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high caliber professional to join them in Hong Kong.

To be the expert on the asset valuation subject matter for the fund scope. Close interaction with different internal functions such as risk management and investment professionals as well as third parties such as service providers, regulators or auditors. Execute the daily quality control system ensuring the reliability of the externally sourced pricing feeds. Determine fair value estimates, mark-to-model valuations of less liquid financial instruments in liaison with internal pricing experts or third party pricing vendors. Resolve time critical valuation issues respecting investment funds´ cut-off times. Validate applied valuation models for all asset classes. Continuous review of current valuation processes to identify and deliver improvements. Set up upon request valuation models for illiquid or distressed assets (equity, debt, convertibles) and derivatives (e.g. Discounted Cash Flow, Enterprise Value, Monte Carlo simulation, etc.). Assume a key role in pricing committees, in particular assemble monthly data and statistics, generate research, prepare the presentation material. Collaborate closely with valuation specialists within the global team to ensure common best practice is being leveraged. Follow the latest developments in the regulatory regimes across the region.

To be qualified, you should be a holder of University degree with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience related to valuations of equity, fixed income, credit. Experience with valuation techniques and model implementation. Sound skills in Microsoft Office, VBA and SQL. Excellent communications skills in English and Chinese. Team player and independent.
