Finance Manager

This developing Engineering business are searching for a ambitious and progressive candidate to support the growth of the business alongside the development of the Huntingdon based finance team. The Finance Manager will have responsibility for the management of the month end processes alongside supporting the budget and forecast processes with the senior team.

Description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

• Manage the financial monitoring and reporting business budgets
• Ensuring an accurate budget, include the reconciliation within the general ledger system
• Contribute to the medium term financial planning
• Build good relationships across the business providing financial support
• Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
• Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
• Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
• Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
• Assist with the preparation of annual accounts and present these to the board

Profile

The successful candidate for the Finance Manager will be:

• ACCA/CIMA part-qualified and actively studying
• Previous experience in the Engineering sector would be advantageous
• Confident in supporting the wider business units in a business partnering capacity
• An ambitious and progressive individual keen to develop
• Strong Excel capability; V Lookups, Pivot Tables and Sumifs
• Broad systems exposure
