Who we are looking for?
We are seeking someone who is technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in Malaysian corporate tax compliance, SST and transfer pricing matters.

The position is perfect for those who see themselves as advisors; the ones who like solving problems more than managing clients or selling products. There is expressly no obligation to acquire clients or to deliver annual targets.

The role
  • You will support our regional tax team in Singapore in respect of questions pertaining to Malaysian tax law;
  • You will be expected to organize, monitor and manage your own workload;
  • The role will initially strongly focus on transfer pricing and "classic" cross-border taxation. At a later stage it may also include tax compliance and training of younger associates;
  • You will be managing a portfolio of (mostly international) clients from a diverse range of industries.

Essential skills and requirements
  • Relevant degree or full professional qualifications in accountancy, taxation and/or commerce. (preferably MICPA or ACCA) ;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in advising in an international context (especially regarding transactions with other ASEAN countries is an additional asset);
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and the ability to explain tax to a layman is a must;
  • Proactive and positive attitude; and
  • Tax license (ideal to have, but not a necessity).
