Responsibilities:
  • Staffing the finance department with appropriately skilled and experienced staff and maintaining a clear organisational structure within the Finance function such that specific responsibilities can be delegated and the performance of the delegates can be monitored.
  • To oversee the production of the legal entities published accounts and monthly management accounts to ensure that they are consistent with and accurately reflect the true position in accordance with the accounting standards.
  • To provide the CEO with analysis and commentary in addition to that provided within the Management Accounts to enable effective management.
  • To oversee the production and reporting of daily traders' financial positions and to ensure that these are included in regular reports to management.
  • To continuously review and develop new methodologies to improve efficiencies in areas such as cost control and product profitability.
  • Maintain continuous review of accounting policies from a legal entity perspective.
  • To be the primary point of contact with the legal entities external auditors on all matters related to their work on the relevant legal entity's financial accounts.
  • To oversee the legal entities taxation arrangements including corporation tax, withholding tax, VAT, etc. Ensure the necessary taxation returns are made accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure taxation issues are taken into consideration in new business and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Ensure that the assets and liabilities of the legal entity are valued correctly.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of the annual budget.

Key Competencies & Qualifications
  • Professional accountancy background and relevant working experience within traiding company.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and all other facets of Finance.
  • Sound knowledge of financial products (valuation and technical accounting).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
