A successful and expanding accountancy practice going through a stage of positive growth and change, based in Rochester has a requirement for a Semi Senior Accountant to join the firm. The role is offering all around involvement across accounts preparation, bookkeeping, tax etc and chance to develop further technical accounting skills and progress, as a key addition into this team.

This firm of accountants based in Rochester is long established having developed long term, strong client relationships. providing a quality focused service to its wide ranging client base. The Directors are supported by a close knit, experienced team of qualified, qualified by experience and AAT/ACCA trainees and admin support staff. Clients are wide ranging in industry sector and turnover to cover the majority of business sectors typically seen across Kent, with largest clients into the £millions in turnover. The Directors are seeking an individual who is looking to build further on their existing accountancy practice career, with the support and encouragement to progress and develop further, within this supportive team as a Semi Senior Accountant.
Description
Joining as a Semi Senior Accountant dependent on the background and experience of the right professional, with the ability to mould this around the right person, you will take responsibility for the delivery of accounts preparation services up to trial balance initially, assisting with tax returns on IRIS and undertaking bookkeeping services for clients on Sage, Xero/Quickbooks and other online cloud accounting software. You will assist in accounts and bookkeeping for wide ranging clients from both complete and incomplete records and join a highly experienced team of professionals where you will have the chance to develop and progress in your accountancy practice career.
Profile
The Directors are looking to consider across a range of experience and background for this role, looking to mould this to a decent degree around the right person. Most importantly and as a key requirement you will have developed your career within the accountancy practice sector, working for a firm of accountants of any size, with anything from 1 - 2 years or considerably more experience in the sector, undertaking a range of responsibilities across accounts preparation at least to trial balance stages, bookkeeping, assisting in tax computations and preparations, VAT etc. You may be studying AAT at level 2/3 or 4, or a qualified accounting technician and moving onto, or part way through further studies for ACCA for example. You will be looking to develop further in your career and join a growing, successful firm of accountants as a key addition.
Job Offer
£20,000 - £26,000 dependent on the background and experience of the right professional, plus benefits and study support.
