My Client are looking for an Accounts and Audit Senior to join their growing team. The Senior role is responsible for organising and managing tasks and project components as well as coaching, advising, and directing assistants. As a Senior Accountant you will be reporting to the Client Manager.
Technical Skills/ Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of all relevant accounts preparation, disclosure and auditing requirements Good personal tax, corporation tax, PAYE and VAT knowledge and experience Good knowledge of relevant computer applications used internally and by clients Able to present reasoned arguments and arrive at balancedjudgements Recognises when consultation is required Reasonable ability to write letters and reports for clients Comfortable dealing with client staff up to financial controller level Clear presentation, both written and oral Able to identify management letter points and express them in a way that explains relevance to the business Manages one or more client tasks simultaneously, ensuring overall success of the task Develops deeper knowledge and skills in the technical field. Advises and coaches assistants with the ability to delegate tasks, supervise and provide guidance with them. Sets an example by demonstrating high energy levels and enthusiasm. Participates in and reinforces the office culture including fun, social events Performs a detailed review of the assistant's work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames.
Practical Experience and Skills
Min 2 years of Practice experience. Strong technical knowledge and skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Strong task management skills. Team player with a positive 'can do' approach. Creative problem solving ability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in delivery of quality client service. A working knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas. A general business and market awareness
Qualifications:
AAT qualified and possibly part ACCA/ACA qualified
