Lead finance at a growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Scale-up. In a Nutshell On a part-time basis, own finance, reporting, analysis, and budgeting at a growing SaaS scale-up working with some of the world's best companies. Role Responsibilities Lead finance at growing enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) scale-up. Role responsibilities will depend on agreed upon time commitment, and are likely to include: * Compiling comprehensive monthly management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Forecasts with scenarios based on sales/renewals/hiring. * Drive and oversee the budgeting and reporting process with CEO and functional leaders * Run comprehensive analysis on a regular basis including spend/cost (vs expectations, vs outcomes), important SaaS metrics (CAC, LTV, ARR Growth, Growth Velocity, etc.) and important departmental metrics (Sales pipeline growth and forecast accuracy, sales performance vs spend, etc.) * Ownership of financial duties including EMI share scheme, R&D Tax Credits (with our hands-on accountant), Payroll and PAYE (with an accountant) and some obligations relating to our foreign subsidiaries. * Liaising with our bookkeepers, accountant and outside help to ensure all transaction data is up to date and accounted for. * Ensure that all financial endeavors are organized, systematic and comply with government regulations and legislation. * Act as the finance leader in the company, providing analytical insight and perspective on things like cash flow, sales and unit economics. Partner with the exec team to provide financial oversight, establish key metrics and monitor ongoing performance. Act as an advisor to the CEO and exec team on long-term financial decisions such as investment and capital decisions. * Help with development of business strategy including modelling special projects and pricing models. Establish goals and monitor and analyse performance against them. * Oversee a review of all financial activity to-date, retrospectively looking for opportunities or improvements that will enhance efficiency/effectiveness. Ensure our company archives are up-to-date and maintained with key finance documents (alongside ensuring that the company is ahead of curve when it comes to compliance and reporting). * Lead on all financial initiatives to enhance business predictability and transparency. Help define, track and manage company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) associated with finance within the business. * Assistance in preparing for any future financing events if they occur. Includes measurement and reporting on important metrics, modeling scenarios, responding to outside requests, etc. * Ownership, development, and tracking of performance-based remuneration including sales commission. * Ownership of relationships with client and supplier finance teams including invoicing, payments etc. Role Requirements * Several years of financial management experience - preferably within a tech-led or enterprise environment. * Ability to effectively scale a growing business * Strong academic background - degree educated or similar with ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification. * A flawless track record regarding ethics and compliance. * Experience working with high-growth tech companies with outside investors -ideally from scale-up all the way through to liquidity events- with a solid understanding of the mechanics that drive investment and acquisition decisions. * 5+ years of financial management experience - ideally within a tech-led enterprise environment. * Insatiable curiosity - you know every
