Your new company An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join a successful and leading manufacturer. Based in Lancashire, this organisation produces high quality components, predominantly for the Nuclear and Aerospace industries. This organisation has been through quite a dramatic period of change over the past few years, and as a result, may be looking for a potential buyer for the business in the coming years. This appointment is a newly created job, and will be instrumental in all financial matters prior to a potential sale. Your new role This newly created job as Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director, and manage the finance department to deliver all management and statutory accounts on a monthly and annual basis. Alongside this, you will be expected to streamline financial processes, and implement some controls and regular reporting to improve efficiency and reduce costs. You will manage budgets, working with the operational managers, and where necessary develop software and operating procedures to enhance the company's ability to deliver effective and timely financial information. What you'll need to succeed Being qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA is a necessity, and experience working in another Engineering business is vital as you will be expected to draw upon experience to make recommendations for change. You must be a confident communicator, with the ability to present at board level, and have a thirst for improving processes and proven experience implementing them. Excel should be second nature to you, and have the ability to pick up, learn, and potentially implement new systems.
