Job Description
This well established business in Liverpool city centre are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Assistant Financial Controller to join the business in a highly visible role across the organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your core duties will include; * Responsible for production of the Annual Report & Accounts and oversight of statutory accounts for multiple entities * Responsible for regular reporting and identifying and developing improvements to the reporting process * Responsible for maintaining an appropriate financial control environment including co-ordinating sign off on key controls and review of balance sheet reconciliations. * Responsible for co-ordinating the external audit on an annual basis * Responsible for production of the Annual Report & Accounts and oversight of statutory accounts * Work to deliver the Annual Report & Accounts in a timely and efficient manner to required level of quality and detail including preparing a verification file as information is received * Oversee the production of statutory accounts including understanding of key movements and balances and review of year end adjustments and journals * Produce monthly project accounts and on a quarterly basis incorporate all relevant risk disclosures * Produce reporting pack including commentary, high level analysis and supplementary schedules * Identify and develop improvements to the reporting process where manual journals could be replaced with system developments or enhancements * Responsible for maintaining an appropriate financial control environment including co-ordinating sign off on key controls and review of balance sheet reconciliations. * Responsible for co-ordinating the external audit on an annual basis Key requirements * Hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) * Experience of preparing, reviewing and submitting statutory accounts * Knowledge and experience of financial systems, accounting processes and controls * Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge and experience of project management tools and techniques This is an ideal role for any Finance manager or Assistant Financial Controller looking for a role that will allow for growth & development in a well-established & prestigious business in Liverpool.
