Job Description
Group Accountant £60,000 - £66,000 Slough, Berkshire Robert Walters have partnered with a listed, well known global business near Slough who are seeking an experienced Group Accountant to join their talented Group Controllership team. Key responsibilities: * Take ownership of key elements of the monthly, quarterly and year-end Group close/consolidation process * Act as the point of contact to send out additional information requests to the regional controllers, collecting, analysing and resolving any apparent discrepancies. * Analyse, challenge and process edits for draft financial statements. * Preparing journals for complex accounting transactions, such as LTIP, acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing. * Support on corporate project activity such as company liquidations, corporate restructuring and dividends. * You'll support the coordination of the global statutory compliance process which involves liaising with internal and external partners * Prepare documentation for external auditors * Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements Experience and qualifications: * ACCA , CIMA , ACA or CA qualified * Experience with either auditing or preparing financial statements is critical. * Previous experience working in a practice environment would be beneficial. * Experience working within a large organisation would be beneficial.
