#LI-DNI Job title: Senior Consultant - Tax & Finance Operate Alternative Investments ("AI") EMEIA Tax Centre Location: London Opening date: 04/11/2019 Closing date: 03/12/2019 Number of roles: Multiple roles available Salary: Competitive The EMEIA Tax Centre (ETC) operates as a hub of specialised tax professionals from across EMEIA with a primary focus of delivering a broad range of tax services to key EY clients. The opportunity Within the ETC, there is currently a need for Senior Consultants to grow the EY Tax & Finance Operate Alternative Investments (TFO AI) team based in London. The focus of this team is to provide end-to-end tax advisory, transaction and tax compliance services throughout the lifecycle of real estate, private equity, infrastructure funds and private credit funds in a globally integrated approach. The team's client base includes some of the biggest names in the Investment industry and the team often works as an extension of those clients' in-house tax teams. This role will include providing tax advisory services and support on: * setup of new investment funds and similar investment products * investment transactions (acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings and refinancing) by funds and * winding down the funds once all investments have been exited. In delivering these services, the team works closely with contacts both at EY and clients including transaction teams, legal advisors and business managers across EMEIA, the US and other parts of the world. As part of the TFO AI team, you will advise clients and work on transactions across multiple industries . Further, you will not only get good tax technical experience but also get a commercial understanding of what is important to our clients in managing and operating the investment funds and the investments they make. As a large part of our work is cross-border, you will also have ample opportunity to work on projects involving international structures and overseas tax regimes. We are currently looking to expand our team and are keen to speak with experienced tax professionals. Your key responsibilities * Support more senior team members in the delivery of exceptional client service * Support in successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach is taken * Assist with preparation of marketing materials and active pursuit documents * Ensure correct policies and procedures have been agreed and followed for engagements To qualify for this role, you must have; * Accounting or tax qualification (ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT or equivalent) * Experience in Transaction Tax or International Tax * Experience working in a Law or Tax firm with exposure to Real Estate, Private Equity, Infrastructure sectors, investment and financial services Ideally, you should also have * Excellent written and oral communication skills * IT literacy, able to use MS Excel What we look for People who want to get the best out of themselves and are interested in developing their skills and gaining exposure to various tax areas, by becoming involved in service solutions from an investment product's inception to exit Who we are EY is committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.
