Assistant Accountant

A well-established Insurer requires an Assistant Accountant to join their successful and rapidly growing Finance Team, based in the heart of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is Part-Qualified or looking to start their Accounting Qualification, who's hungry to get more out of their role and driven by challenges. You'll be getting great exposure across the Finance Function, full study support and continuous growth. Responsibilities The purpose of the role is to assist the Finance team with all aspects of preparation of financial statements and returns, you will also be getting exposure to Group Consolidation under US GAAP, responsibilities include: Supporting the production of defined regulatory and group financial statements Assisting with the internal controls surrounding the finance systems and processes Supporting other ad hoc projects and other reporting requirements The ideal candidate for will be self-starter, with the ability to complete work quickly and independently with high degree of accuracy while taking the initiative to meet strict deadlines. Someone who is in the process or starting their Accountant Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) would be preferred.
