A growing business based in Epping are looking for a Finance Business Partner - IT to join the team. A growing business based in Epping are looking for a Finance Business Partner - IT to join the team. The successful applicant will be a key member of the Finance team and work very closely with the IT function. They will provide an excellent level of finance
business partnering activities for IT function that itself plays a key role in transforming the Group in line with the wider business strategy and vision. They will also provide finance support at both strategic and operational level for IT activity in line
with the ambitious growth plans of the Group. They will partner with leaders both within the IT function and the business units to ensure a joined-up approach is taken that leads to successful outcomes of key projects and initiatives. Responsibilities include: Provide a high level of financial support to routine contractual commitments and key strategic IT projects and programmes across the business throughout their lifecycle, to ensure successful outcomes are achieved in line with the company strategy
Produce timely and accurate financial information, presented coherently and providing investigations and analysis to chief information officer to facilitate decision making in relation to key projects
Involvement in annual business planning and budgeting activities for the IT function, whilst ensuring that operational plans and financial aspects relating to the company strategy are factored in
Manage the financial relationship, and associated information flows, with external (outsourced) IT partner
Act as a 'trusted advisor' to the chief information officer, providing valued and effective guidance for all financial activities relating to routine contractual commitments and key IT projects
Provide an invaluable link between the Finance and IT function and the business unit finance teams to ensure IT projects are aligned with divisional business initiatives and strategies
Responsible for helping to ensure IT accounting is effectively integrated into the business - from inception through to integration - by providing an excellent level of finance support to business unit finance teams to ensure they understand and can actively
control their IT costs and forecast accurately
Work closely with other members of the Finance Team to ensure a consistent approach is taken to ensure compliance and control in relation to financial activities at all times that is aligned with strategy and values
Work in partnership with finance director and their teams to identify and share best practice and to enhance effective delivery of IT related financial activities to the business
Work in partnership with wider business and 'enabling' teams to identify synergies and share best practice, skills, resources and insights
Candidate profile: You will have a recognised financial qualification (fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and at least two years post qualification experience in industry, ideally working with outsourced providers
Excellent spreadsheet skills will be an advantage
