Permanent Group Accountant opportunity based outskirts of Carlisle.

Your new company An accomplished group business based on the outskirts of Carlisle are recruiting for a Group Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking business that regularly acquires organisations within the group.

Your new role As Group Accountant, you will work in a varied role within Head Office, taking responsibility for group accounts, with key responsibilities including: preparation of monthly management accounts across the group, assisting with month end processes; monthly financial

reporting, analysis and reviews of the accounts in order to highlight anomalies or discrepancies, and reporting concerns.

Working closely and collaboratively with the Financial Controller, you will provide support with the annual budgeting process, assist with annual internal and external audits, being a key point of contact for queries; support the team with credit referencing

and insurance; and facilitate and maintain payment software.

You will collate and complete payroll submissions, reviewing data to ensure accuracy, reconciling and recharging the payroll to the appropriate business, whilst ensuring deadlines are met. Additionally, you will take responsibility for Working Capital Management

, cash investments, treasury function and undertake additional tax enquiries, responding to HMRC in a timely manner, and support the Group Financial Controller with other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed You will be an accomplished qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), with a sound working knowledge of accounting processes. Active part qualified students are also encouraged to apply. An excellent communicator, you will have the ability to

develop and maintain key relationships across the group business, with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively to ensure deadlines are met. With an eye for detail and accuracy, you will have an advanced working knowledge of Excel and Sage

200 would also be beneficial. Occasional travel to other UK sites will be required.
