Role Purpose: To direct and oversee the activities of the 3 Business Units (BUs) finance team (ABTEC LLC, Bukhatir Properties International, Alliance Facilities Management) ensuring the finance function operates in a manner that ensures the smooth operation of the business and to service the Executive Director and BU Finance Lead and provide the necessary financial information on a timely basis to make informed decisions.

General Accounting and Budgeting of the 3 Business Units:

  • Overseeing the BUs accounting function ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements and its compliance to IFRS and the Group laid down finance policy and procedures.

  • Leading the Budgeting and strategic planning exercise, monitoring the actual performance against budget, doing variance analysis and suggesting remedial action.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT laws and timely submission of VAT returns.

  • Review of BUs payroll process; leave settlements and its disbursement.



Treasury & Finance:

  • Prepare and continuously monitor the BUs short term and long-term cash flows, identifying gaps and ways to bridge the shortfall.

  • Identify the working capital and other funding requirements of the BUs and continuously engage with the bankers to meet the BUs requirements.

  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all the banks' account.

  • Review of all LC/ LG application or any other working capital utilization request.

  • Efficiently manage the BUs AR and AP function.


Audit and Corporate Governance:

  • Leading the BU statutory audit exercise, preparing the consolidated financial statement, liaising with the auditors and the group finance to close the Audit under a strict deadline.

  • Ensure compliance with group financial policy and procedures, critically reviewing the BUs accounting. function, identifying any gaps and suggesting remedial action.


Management Reporting:

  • Generating necessary reports as may be required by the group/ management strictly adhering to the timeline specified for reporting.

  • Preparing presentation for the Board, senior management, bankers, etc.

  • Maintaining a good working relationship with all the BU finance manager within the Bukhatir group, senior management, and other stakeholders. He is expected to mentor his reportees and manage their learning curve.
