Finance Analyst

This Finance Analyst role will be based out of our head office in Paddington, reporting into the Property & Capital Finance Manager. They have a robust approach for authorising capital expenditure across the group, through both its strategic planning cycle and through an approval process involving the Countries, Business units, Group Executive (GE) members and PLC Board.

Description

Key responsibilities for this Finance Analyst role include:

• This role is primarily responsible for managing the financial aspects of submissions to the GE/GE members and working closely with the Group Property team who review the Property aspects of these submissions to ensure a smooth and co-ordinated process.
• The role has a significant level of interaction with countries/business units and communicates with a wide range of people from more junior finance team members to senior executives, including directly with the Group CFO.
• To provide an operational link with the country property function and central functions in order to facilitate timely, robust and accurate data flow both from OpCo to centre and vice versa, particularly on Long Term Plan and Business Performance.

Profile

The Successful Finance analyst role will:

• Part Qualified accountant through ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail;
• Strong communication skills;
• Retail experience would be preferable;
• Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to travel;
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills;
