We are currently working on a Business Transformation Programme, that will include the implementation of SAP (S/4 HANA) across the Group, and the set-up of the Global Business Services (GBS). The new GBS centre in North Dublin will manage a wide scope of Finance and Commercial process for the Group's Business Units.

The role

Reporting to the R2R Manager Accounting, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting processes, including the transition and stabilisation of an entity or entities into Dublin, along with supporting the implementation of SAP. The R2R Financial Accountant will be proactive, have attention to detail, be well organised, have strong communication skills and have excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transition of accounting activities into Dublin;
  • Support implementation of SAP (S/4 HANA);
  • Manage the accounting process for an entity or entities;
  • Manage daily accounting transactions;
  • Preparation of monthly Journals and Balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Manage intercompany related transactions;
  • Prepare variance analysis of financial results for month end reporting;
  • Liaise with local statutory and tax accountants;
  • Ensure internal procedures and policies are followed;
  • Guarantee the timely and accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data;
  • Ensure accounting compliance with IFRS and local GAAP accounting principles;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support system and process improvements for the month end closing cycle.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent;
  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA or CIMA);
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage;
  • Shared Service experience would be a plus;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Ability to working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible;
  • Proficiency in Excel;
  • Knowledge of a second European language would be an advantage (e.g. German, French).

Location and Travel

North Dublin. Some travel possible required.
