Senior Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA with some post qualified experience in an analytical role commercial supporting key stakeholders across sales and marketing.

Its imperative that you are extremely proactive and able to identify issues quickly and recommend viable solutions.

Gravitas and strong communication skills will be key in this role to develop the longterm relationships and very much use this role as a springboard to greater things within the business.

This role does bring a core focus on costs, ensuring cost tracking and delivery of the commercial cost budgets including overheads, headcount allocation and marketing spend. Together with continuous development on cost control process whilst ensuring that the commercial team are educated and guided to control monthly spends.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ownership of all central costs to ensure accuracy and transparency for cost centre managers (fixed and variable), providing support and analysis to ensure that they can manage their costs effectively and forecast accurately - A key resource for the marketing function, ensuring understanding of the current cost base and presenting monthly results to the Head of Marketing. This element requires attention to detail, getting into transactional level detail so that the cost base can be managed and challenged. - Working in cross functional teams to control variable commercial costs, understand any deviation to plan and ensuring and risks and opportunities are transparent - Deliver and present monthly business and financial results together with insightful analysis and commentary to the Commercial Lead and the Head of Commercial Finance. - The detailed nature of this role will enable the individual to identify key threats and opportunities which may result in being set the objective to find the remedial solution and update stakeholders accordingly. - Identification of opportunities with Group Commercial team members with diligent tracking and reporting to the senior leadership team - A key member of the month end process working cross functionally with Financial accounting to understand risks and opportunities to budget and forecast and being able to communicate these quickly and effectively - Provide project support when required to the Commercial Finance function which will involve business case development - Business planning and budgeting support required across marketing, variable commercial costs and central overheads
