As a Part Qualified Accountant, you will be pivotal to the Finance and Accounting (F&A) function in supporting the activities of the Financial Accountants, Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners. In these broad and challenging roles your responsibilities may include any number of the following tasks:
* Management Reporting
* Budgeting and forecasting
* General Ledger Management
* Financial statement preparation
* Financial Accounting and Industry standards
* Financial Governance
* Interrogation of the General Ledger
* Providing Advice and Assurance
* Advising on routine tax matters
* Inventory
To be successful in this position you will hold a finance related degree level qualification, or be AAT Qualified (Level 4) or be part-qualified with a CCAB professional body (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ACA) or equivalent or relevant experience with proven experience gained within a finance, tax or accounting role.
You will have experience in either management or financial accounting including budgeting/forecasting or statutory/VAT reporting with knowledge in month-end close processes and activities including accruals activity. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret management information and make valuable business insight based on findings.
You will be a team player, able to share and collaborate effectively with others, treating them with respect, trust and dignity. Constantly delivering high quality work within the required timescales and displaying ambition to learn and develop. Identify opportunities to improve service to continually fine-tune our delivery for our external and internal customers. Strong written and oral communication would benefit your application and experience of working in a large, complex or public sector organisation will assist in your demonstration of awareness of the complexities working within the MoD.
