**CIPF Finance Manager (CSF) - £450 - £550 - Contract**
**Company:** A leading organisation that is owned by the government and that has won awards for its work life balance policy is currently hiring a Finance Manager on a contract basis for 6 months (rolling).
The chosen individual must have knowledge of local government finance, accounting practice and the regulatory framework within the education sector ideally within the children schools and families' department.
**Role Overview:** •
To be responsible for department's service budget preparation and budget monitoring processes, and overseeing grant claims. •
To be responsible for financial advice to the Director of CSF, CSF managers, head teachers and their staff, other managers and members on all financial matters related to schools and the children's services. •
To participate in the management of the Accountancy team (Finance officer's x 3, Schools Finance Support Officers x 4, Accounting Trainee) •
To develop, maintain and implement models for the allocation funding for children's services, schools and other children's education services, liaising as required the Director of CSF, CSF managers, head teachers and their staff, and managers within Resources. •
To recruit, develop, motivate, train and manage finance officers dealing with budget management and grants, schools finance support officers and trainees as allocated, in accordance with council policies and procedures, legislative and regulatory requirements.
**Professional Experience**: •
Full professional membership of CIPFA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) •
Experience of providing financial advice in a multi-functional organisation •
Experience managing the preparation and monitoring of the departments service level budgets for schools. •
Experience of Schools Forum meetings in line with regulation 9 of The School and Early Years Finance (England) Regulations 2018.
**Rate: £450 - £550 (inside) - per day on a 6 month rolling contract / 35-hour week 9am - 5pm.**
