**Orion Group are looking for a Finance Analyst for our multinational medical devices client based in the Cork area on an initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend.**

**Job Purpose** This is a local and global focused role, providing financial support to the client in relation to reporting and analysis of Intercompany Gross Profit, Inventory & Currency. The role requires a driven, continuous improvement mind set, that will drive improvements in core activities, helping to support enhanced business partnering and will participate in the shaping of future initiatives for the team.

**Main Responsibilities of the role** Inventory Reporting & Accounting \* Primary Finance business partner for the business, responsible for operational reporting of the Gross and Net inventory \* Responsibility for the review, financial planning and analysis of the Gross and Net Inventory for the Cork site \* Responsibility for calculation, financial planning and analysis of the business E&O reserve \* Ensure compliance to WWPs and SOX controls

Gross Profit Reporting & Accounting \* Responsibility for the detailed review and analysis of the Affiliate Gross Profit results for the client, driving new insights, in partnership with the Finance Manager \* Responsibility for the review and analysis of currency impacts in the profit and loss account and partnering with the Currency COE for placement of foreign currency hedges, to drive hedging effectiveness for the client \* Responsibility for the review and analysis of other supply chain inventory related costs impacting client gross profit (i.e. purchase price variance)

Business Partnering \* Build relationships with global Plan leadership & functional heads, and drive financial accountability, ensuring that the financial implications of operational decisions are considered

Process improvements \* Continuous focus on process improvements and efficiencies \* Build on use of Alteryx as a tool to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities

**Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate**

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA Accountant - 3+ years of relevant multinational experience - Supply chain finance experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry - Proven track record in multi-cultural business partnering - Results driven with a strong ownership and accountability for deliverables - Accuracy with attention to detail - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines - Ability to build effective partnering relationships - Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning - Framing and communicating of complex data - Demonstrated record of driving continuous process improvements - Proactive, energetic and enthusiastic approach
