Our client, a prestigious dealership based in Plymouth are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their team.
This position wil report into the Group Managing Director, and be responsible for all areas of finance with direct line reports spanning across various areas of the business. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience within the Motor trade.
**Key Duties:**
- To advise the Head of Business and Senior Managers on all financial matters within the business. - To provide regular, accurate and meaningful financial accounts and other daily/weekly/period reports as required. - To oversee and control the businesss borrowings, cash flow and liquidity. - To monitor financial performance and produce Key Performance Indicators for all departments. - To advise Departmental Managers on financial performance, margins, costs and overheads, comparing actual to plan. - To ensure optimum cash operating cycle by careful control of creditors, debtors and stock.
**Candidate:**
- ACA / ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant. - Previous experience within the finance function of a busy car dealership. - Ability to provide financial guidance and advice at all levels. - Up to date knowledge on all matters relating to accounting standards and practise, finance, taxation and trends within the market. - Strong communication skills to ensure that changes to the financial issues affecting the Business are communicated.
