Job Description

Your new company Hays have been exclusively retained by Bike Park Wales to recruit a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. Bike Park Wales is the UK`s premier mountain biking resort, with over 40 trails of varying difficulty to suit beginners to professional riders. Set over 1200 acres in the heart of the welsh valley`s, the infrastructure is in place for the resort to continue to grow and develop. Your new role This position is a key hire for the business, you`ll be acting in both a hands on and strategic capacity. The successful candidate will join as the number 1 in finance and lead the existing finance team of 3. You will be taking a lead on financial planning, analysing and evaluating financial performance and recommending changes to improve the businesses overall profitability. You will also be improving cash management / forecasting, providing the board with improved information to support decision making, improving financial reporting / planning and acting as a businesses partner to operational stakeholders. Job duties;- * Reporting monthly management accounts to the board * Managing cash, grant draw downs and inter-company loans * Budgeting and forecasting for the next 5-year plan * Managing the finance team * Preparing weekly packs for business partners and business partnering * Analysing financial and operational data to provide the board and operational teams with the information to make informed business decisions What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role you will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 3 years + PQE. You will need to be a dynamic individual who is eager to learn and grow with the business. You`ll have a commercial outlook for finance and always strive to improve processes and improve efficiencies. It would also be advantageous but not essential to have; - * Excellent excel skills * SAGE 50 experience * Understanding of payroll * Experience of managing grant claims What you'll get in return You will join one of Wales` most exciting businesses and have a real influence in their direction and growth.
