Your new company Great opportunity - My client is a boutique Chartered Accountancy Firm based near Woking. They have been established for over 30 years and are growing year on year, gaining new clients via referrals. There is an opportunity for you to join this team with a view to become partner designate and assist with the management of the Firm. Your new role Due to a change in circumstances one of the Partners is having some extended leave and is looking for someone who will assist them in running the Practice during their absence alongside the remaining Partner. You will be hands on in your role, completing bookkeeping duties, VAT returns, statutory accounts and corporate tax returns. You will liaise with clients and HMRC accordingly, handling queries as they come in. You will ensure that work is delegated among the team accordingly and ensure the work is completed to deadlines and necessary standards. This is a great opportunity for a senior qualified or part qualified accountant with experience to share in the future of this Practice as it continues to grow. One Partner will be retiring in the next 5 years and succession planing is well under way. What you'll need to succeed You will either be ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified with a view to completing your exams. Previous management or supervision of staff would be beneficial. What you'll get in return Salary will vary depending on experience. My client operates in a paperless environment, is modern and up to date, with a spacious working environment, modern technology and ample working space. There is parking on site, auto enrolment pension and private medical cover. Hours are 8.30-5pm and overtime is NOT encouraged. You will also receive study support as needed and have the opportunity for further qualification if you wish. You will also have the opportunity to gain your Practising Certificate in order to assist in running the Practice with the remaining Partner.
