Job Description
Your new company You will be working for a well known FMCG organisation that supplies high end retailers across London based a short walk from transport links. Due to exponential business growth of around 14% YOY they are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant who is hungry to learn to join the team. You will sit within a dynamic and progressive team reporting into the FD and assisting the Management Accountant and wider finance team. You will be working in fantastic modern offices and be supported in your development as a Finance professional. Your new role You will be supporting the FD and Management Accountant in preparing the management accounts and putting together the management pack. You will be producing and reviewing the P&L. You will be tracking and analysing sales and revenue (year on year and year to date) You will be responsible for cost of sales, margin and profitability analysis, as well as stock and product analysis. You will be assisting with the balance sheet reconciliations and weekly cash flow forecasting. You will be assisting in the posting of prepayments and accruals and the monthly depreciation journals. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed you will either be studying towards ACCA or CIMA and have a degree in Accountancy & Finance, Business or Mathematics. You will need to have previous exposure to prepayments & accruals, fixed assets, posting month-end journals and a good understanding of the management accounts process. You will need to have advanced knowledge of excel and formulas such as vlookups, pivot tables, sumif etc. You will need to have the drive and ambition to become a Management Accountant and to progress in your professional development.
