We're looking for a bright individual with a solid grounding in accountancy, to assist in the smooth operation of the U finance team on a day to day basis. Overall we are looking for someone to come in with a hands-on and 'can do' attitude. Reporting to the Management Accountant, in a wide ranging role, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day accounting processes of the business. Responsibilities Include: * Purchase ledger * Sales ledger and credit control * Expense claim processing * Bank and credit card reconciliations * Other reconciliations * VAT returns & VAT provision * Maintaining fixed asset register & asset tagging * Liaison with colleagues & external suppliers * Other general administration Requirements * AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified with experience in a similar role * Able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, demanding environment * Confident and clear communicator * Great organisational skills * Methodical, produces accurate work and is detail conscious * Proficient in Excel to an intermediate level or higher * Flexible in approach to meet needs of the business * Team player Desirable: Experience with Coda Accounting software Benefits * 23 days holiday + 1 additional day each year up to 28 days (not including bank holidays) * Cycle to work, childcare vouchers, corporate discount on gym memberships * Life insurance Policy and Employee Assistance Programme * Personal development time * Flexible working environment * Company social activities * Modern office space in the heart of Sheffield with great transport links
