About the Role We are currently recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant , ideally with some experience in Financial Services. This is a unique role which will give you experience working directly with leadership addressing a number of challenges within the FinTech space In a nutshell, we want someone: * who's interested in processing and managing the day-to-day accounting for financial products * wants exposure to and involvement in a broad range of accounting activities including Reconciliations, Management Accounting, FP&A, Accounts Prep and Strategic Reporting * knows the importance of a strong control framework and has a keen eye for process and control optimisations * who gets excited by new challenges and doesn't shy away from getting stuck in Key things youll do: * Daily cash management: ensuring all funds and managed and recorded correctly * Control management: ownership of key control areas * Ad-hoc Analysis: everything from cashflow analysis to summarising operational data and sales performance * Reporting: all key period ends, plus external reporting and preparation for presentations * Accounts preparation * AP Management Requirements * Formal training as an accountant (Accounting degree, AAT or part qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) * You must have proven project management and communication skills with native-level English and ideally working in a fast-paced/start-up environment * You must have excellent Excel skills. Experience with SQL and analysis tools such as R/Python a plus * Experience in Financial Services is a plus * Experience working with Xero and Sage 50 a plus * You must have a solid understanding of Accounting concepts.
