This role is with a large specialist manufacturing company and involves supporting them through the finance business processes, and implementation phase of ERP software. It requires someone with a management accounting background (ideally qualified

healthcare and life assurance. So you need an accounting background, manufacturing knowledge (you understand goods received, BOM etc) and ERP software experience. You will be reviewing their business processes, by working with the stakeholders, owners and board of the company, and supporting
them through the finance phases of their Sage Enterprise Management (Sage EM) software implementation and doing the financial reporting. They currently have an IT Manager, a Business Analyst (retiring) and 1 Support Analyst. If you are an accountant moving into the IT side, they can teach you about the requirements, business analysis and business process mapping, as well as the finance software
support aspects, but you must be keen to learn and keen to move into the software side of accounting. You will work with their most highly experienced Business Analyst who is retiring in 2 years' time, and she is happy to pass on all her IT and ERP experience and knowledge to you, and mentor and coach you. She has excellent Sage EM experience, 30 years ERP
expertise and is very strong on manufacturing and distribution. You will work with the users from board level, to factory shop floor to establish their business processes, and improve the efficiency of the ERP solution within the company. You will analyse requirements, write business & functional specs, develop & maintain
the system documentation, support the finance department with business processing and reporting and support the ERP software users in general. The company manufactures and distributes very specialised components and their ERP solution covers discrete manufacturing, raw materials, production, warehouse management, distribution, inventory control, supply chain, despatch, financials and accounting,
ledgers & invoicing, and has a warehouse data capture solution embedded into it. So there is a lot to learn and the role will hold a lot of interest. Your background: Accounting, ideally qualified to CIMA or ACCA Manufacturing knowledge Any ERP software experience such as Dynamics NAV, Epicor, Infor M3, Dynamics AX, Sage 1000, Sage 200, Sage EM, SAP Business One, MfgPRO, Aptean, Deltek, Exact, IFS, NetSuite, Priority ERP, QAD, Plex, Syspro, Reflex, Intact or similar. Able to communicate effectively and diplomatically with users at all levels Finance reporting and documentation Excellent problem solving ability The company has a long history of innovation and invention with offices in 3 continents, over 400 global staff and offices in the USA, Asia and Canada. Financially strong, their reputation proceeds them in their niche market. They have very nice offices
and a brand-new warehouse facility with plenty of parking. To find out more about this new Business Analyst / Finance Analyst role in Harrogate, get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing or send us your CV.
