MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting for a Group Accountant for a successful, growing organisation on the outskirts of Colchester. You will assume responsibility for the month end close activities including reporting and balance sheet control for a number of companies within the group. The role will involve heavy liaison both internally and externally to ensure standards and guidelines
are adhered to. Of great importance is the requirement to ensure the integrity of period end reporting in a timely and efficient manner. Your main responsibilities will include: Owner of the complete process for Group Company's, delivering all financial and management accounts activities Manage the financial accounts activities to ensure strong balance sheet control Assist in the completion of local Statutory Accounts, filing, and group reporting Ensure plan preparation and other financial account activities are completed accurately, to time and efficiently Work with key stakeholders to ensure strong controls, compliance and governance Responsible for ensuring all key controls are performed as documented and tested to schedule Manage and develop a team of 2 Manage and develop internal and external relationships Assist in the effective delivery of year end, half year and interim audits You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at a variety of levels throughout the Group and have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence a wide range of people. You will also need: Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or Qualified by Experience Advanced IT and systems skills e.g. Excel This role would suit a dynamic self-starter, whose ability to be an effective team player will ensure personal and departmental success.
