Reed Accountancy are representing a tech company based in Elland for the role of Assistant Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity for an AAT Level 3/4 qualified candidate to expand their knowledge. This is a permanent, full time position paying up to £24,000. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Provision of Financial Information Daily Sales Order book Input / Output reporting and Daily Recoveries reporting. Weekly Book & Ship and Order Intake Gross Margin reporting. Monthly variance analysis of overheads by cost centre to be discussed with the Senior Management Team. Monthly submission of period end financials to Group through reporting into Cognos. Submission of Budget and Forecasts to Group through reporting into Cognos. Period End Close Down Maintaining and updating control accounts including the calculation of monthly accruals and prepayments. Review of GL codes / cost centres to ensure that transactions have been processed accurately. Preparing and posting journal entries as required to ensure the integrity of underlying financial data. SAP maintenance routines including updating FX rates and rolling accounting periods. Performing balance sheet reconciliations to assist with the production of the monthly close down file. Annual Budgeting / Quarterly Re-forecasting Involved in meetings with key business stakeholders to capture the financial information required to build a bottom up budget. Maintain and continually update detailed records of budget / forecast / Actual underlying data which feeds and reconciles to submissions made into Cognos. Provide analysis and commentary of variances YoY / Act v Fcast to give insight into business performance. Financial Process Support In order to aid development, the following tasks will be covered to support the team: Purchase ledger support to process invoices through the system.

This includes assisting in the review of GRNI control accounts. Cash posting and daily bank reconciliation. Ad hoc - provide any support required by the business to address risks or additional resource requirement. Ensure all work personally undertaken is carried out in compliance with current H&S rules and safety systems, and is in line with the requirements of the duty of care document. Measurement of performance within the role will be assessed through the Annual PDP assessment. the essential functions. Education and/or Experience: Must be close to an AAT qualification or have a substantial experience of working in a management accounting role. The candidate should be seeking to gain a professional qualification from one of the recognised Accountancy bodies, preferably CIMA or ACCA.

Finance degree preferred. Language Skills:

Good written and oral communication skills. Capable and confident in effectively communicating at all levels including the Senior Management Team. Mathematical:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
