Assistant Management Accountant, 6 month fixed term contract, £20-25K plus benefits
A market-leading Cheltenham-based service sector organisation requires an Assistant Management Accountant on a 6 month fixed term contract. Occupying a premium space within their sector, this appointment will support the Finance Manager and other members of
the team in the day-to-day functions within the Finance Department, ensuring adequate control in accounting systems and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Review processes to identify areas of improvement Prepare weekly status reports with variance analysis Support the reconciliation and posting of credit card statements Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packs for submission to Group Support with preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations Check and approve supplier bank details Check and authorise weekly payment runs Investigate supplier queries Ensuring that appropriate accounting processes, systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained Provide support during the audit process and preparation of the statutory accounts Ad-hoc projects as may be requested by the Finance Manager EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS AAT qualified or studying for professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and both verbal and written Communication skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook) Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy whilst working to tight deadlines Kelly Services are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this role.
