Description
As an Accounts Assistant working for this Household Name and Hugely Successful Global Business based in Farnborough, Hampshire you will be responsible for
As Accounts Assistant, you'll perform a number of business critical accounting services tasks each day including Payments, Cashiering and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
This is an interesting and wide ranging role for an individual with a keen interest in widening their existing knowledge of accounting processes.
*Ensuring all daily payment and collection files are signed off in accordance with the company Authorisation Policy and processed via internal and external transactional banking partners
*Daily internal and external bank reconciliations including the timely allocation of payments received to Customer ledgers and investigation of any unallocated funds with various departments and banking partners
*Processing and reconciliation of supplier invoices and accounts payable ledgers ensuring the payment of invoices within agreed payment terms
*Raising of invoices to external companies and Group entities, ensuring the timely collection of funds within agreed payment terms
*Calculation, reconciliation and processing of retailer and partner commission payments.
Additionally, you'll also be required to complete other tasks as required by the Accounting Services and Tax Manager including:
* Preparation of ad hoc financial and tax reporting
* Review of data for team KPI reporting i.e. Aged Payables, Aged Receivables, Unallocated Cash, Payment Days etc
* Assisting with the drafting of business requirements for projects and completion of associated project testing
* Assistance with monitoring of Internal Control measures
* Identification of process and system enhancements to streamline team and wider business activities.
Profile
*Comfortable with performing a range of different tasks and processes including responding to immediate needs of the business environment and conditions
*High level of numeracy and accuracy including
*Ability to work effectively in a time pressured environment, escalating issues and prioritising queries effectively
*Ability to work under own initiative within a team environment
*Good communication skills with colleagues and external partners at a range of levels including Senior Management and Stakeholders
*Comfortable working in an environment where a high degree of control is required
*Strong Excel (i.e. Lookups, Pivot Tables.),.
Job Offer
Salary £23,000 - £27,000
