ROLE

The Private Equity department has been based in Limerick since 2007. The Private Equity team consists of a team of 31 dynamic partners and continues to grow. Our clients include some of the most highly successful Private Equity houses globally. We use best-in-breed systems and cutting edge technology to deliver excellent service to our clients. This is an opportunity for an individual who is proficient in accounting and excellent client service delivery to work in the fund administration function including Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Transfer Agency & Custody for a range of Private Equity Entities within a team.

The incumbent will be responsible for administering an allocation of PE clients in order to achieve deliverables assigned to them by the client and department management to a level synonymous with existing standards of the department.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation & review of the valuations, NAV’s and Financial Statements for Private Equity Entities
  • Preparation & review of consolidation calculations for Private Equity Entities
  • Lead the external audit process ensuring that all audit queries are closed out in a timely and accurate manner
  • Accurate and timely preparation & review of all reporting and recording tasks including investment portfolios
  • Accurate preparation & review of the TA function for the PE Entities in your allocation
  • Ensure all relevant filings on behalf of the Entity are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensure that operational procedures and checklists are followed and accurately completed
  • Accurate preparation & review of Central Bank Statistical returns in a timely manner
  • To communicate effectively with management on all matters relevant to their allocation
  • Ensure the timely preparation & review of ancillary tasks – fee/invoice administration & payment, PAYE/PRSI, VAT returns, filing requirements/report preparation etc.
  • Fulfil additional, relevant tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements
  • Complete/review any client/investor queries or requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Deliver a high quality service to clients through facilitating and promoting accurate, timely completion/review of all assigned tasks and requests for information from both external and internal sources
  • Participate in periodic client service calls process including meeting set up, agenda setting, minutes, logs and action point documentation and administration
  • Identify efficiencies where possible with due regard for risk management
  • Backfill for the Team Lead as required
  • Assist other colleagues as required, support the team in times of high work volumes, impart knowledge to newer team members as necessary
  • Support outsourcing and improvement projects as required

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Accountant preferred, 5 years PQE
  • Relevant experience in the accountancy profession or in the fund industry in a valuations / fund accounting / financial reporting role
  • Excellent Decision making ability
  • Excellent PC Skills:- Word & Excel
  • Good organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and investment accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines & work under pressure
