This role is based on client site in Dublin 2.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Team is seeking a new member whose primary focus is preparation of accounts to Trial Balance. As a key member of the team you will also be responsible for supporting the Business Unit with on-going project work, as well as preparing ad hoc reports for management and stakeholders. You will be supervising tasks performed by our Back Office, as well more junior members of our team, ensuring they are being completed to standard and on time. This is an excellent opportunity to work with in a SOC2 compliant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner,
  • Support in communicating with other departments and stakeholders, including the procurement division and Transport Operators,
  • Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end,
  • Calculation, posting and analysis of Scheme costs for distribution to our Scheme Participants,
  • Supervision of bank reconciliations,
  • Supervision of variance analysis and standard cost updates as required,
  • Provide ad hoc information to management and other departments as required,
  • Provide support in dealing with internal and external audit,
  • Other ad hoc tasks pertinent to Leap Scheme transactions, business analytics and capital project teams.

Requirements:

  • Accounting Qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA with at least 4 years plus post qualification experience in plc., or similar SOC2 environment
  • Third Level Degree or equivalent
  • Must have 3- 5 years relevant experience in a plc., audit or government environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excel skills essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative to tight deadlines in team environment
  • Suit someone who enjoys analytics and bringing new ideas to their team
  • Previous management experience desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience of a plc. or SOC2 environment desirable
