The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization’s financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

We are looking for a junior candidate in Investment Banking Controller team.

Main tasks include:

  1. Fee/Expense invoicing
  2. Receivable account aging management

In addition, task may include support for below tasks:

  1. Revenue reporting/booking for Investment Banking/Capital Market businesses
  2. Forecasting
  3. Divisional Expense/Profitability Analysis

Qualifications - External

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skill (be able to use Excel efficiently with understanding of formula. Knowledge of VBA is not required)
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, with attitude towards maintaining tight control environment
  • Japanese skill is required including reading and writing. Basic English skill is preferred
  • Learning attitude
  • Team player
  • Be able to handle information with care
  • Be able to communicate effectively with business unit
  • Basic accounting knowledge (Nissho 3rd level) is preferred
