My client are currently recruiting for an accounts assistant to come in and assist in the transactional finance procedures within their friendly, family orientated finance department. They are ideally seeking an ambitious candidate studying AAT or with a recent degree qualification, although these are not essentials.
Client Details
A market leading contruction company. Family run since their inception, and currently experiencing a period of development within their finance department. They require a candidate with the ability to take ownership of some of their transactional responsibilities to operate as an Accounts Assistant.
Description
Financial reporting:
- Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for a company Entity
- Reconciling the Fixed Assets ensuring the depreciation is charged appropriately
- Cash forecasting
- Weekly cash reporting to parent company
- Daily management of cash positions
- Assistance with the preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist with the preparation of credit reviews to establish the credit-worthiness of suppliers and clients
- Assist with Expenses function
- Ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance team
Profile
The successful candidate will be:
- An effective and confident communicator, able to interact with people in all levels of the business.
- An AAT studier or post grad (pref)
- Knowledgable of basic financial functions.
